Requirements  

• FL DOH licensure 
• Experience working in school programs or with pediatric populations is preferred 
• Provide nursing care and physical screening to student; assess student and implement first aid measures for student as needed and under the supervision of the Registered Nurse assigned 
• Implement and record required screening programs; Provide follow-up evaluations as required 
• Administer daily and as-needed medications and nursing care procedures prescribed by the student’s physician and under the supervision of the Registered Nurse assigned 
• Initiate emergency procedures for students and staff as needed and under the supervision of the Registered Nurse assigned 
• Follow procedures and protocols for suspected cases of child abuse and neglect 
• Record immunizations, health finding, and other relevant health data and maintain appropriate records 
• Ability to effectively communicate with teachers, administrators, and parents 
• Ensure all services are performed in accordance with state laws and regulations 
• Perform other LPN duties/responsibilities required by the Program and within the scope of licensure and/or certification
