Job Description

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN's) Position Summary:

• The primary purpose of this position is to provide direct nursing care to the residents, and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.
• Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, the Medical Director, and the Director of Nursing Services or Nurse Supervisor, to ensure that the highest degree of quality of care is maintained at all times.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN's) Qualifications:

• Current valid Licensed Nurse issued in the state where the person will practice, and the candidate must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Must have thorough knowledge of nursing, techniques, practices and specialized procedures applied, and equipment used, in the assigned unit.
• Up-to-date physical assessment skills and comprehensive knowledge of nursing principles are required.
• Must be CPR certified.
• Recent experience in geriatric or rehabilitative nursing and experience preferred.
