MARSCARE is looking for experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN).

We provide comprehensive, compassionate, individualized skilled nursing, rehabilitative therapies and non-skilled aide services to people of all ages from birth through the older adult years.

Job Description:

There is a wide range of services provided by a Licensed Practical Nurse at MarsCare Home Health Agency. The LPN provides service in accordance with agency policies and nursing standards of practice and assists the Registered Nurse in completing the physician’s plan of care for skilled services. The exact nature of the duties depends on the environment of the specific job although there are commonalities in all positions.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the patient in learning appropriate self-care techniques
• Reporting findings and observations to the Registered Nurse and other members of the team to assure coordination of services and timely response to client changes or needs.
• Prepares clinical and progress notes
• Giving medication as prescribed by a physician
• Taking vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight
• Basic wound care including cleaning and bandaging injured areas
• Giving injections of medication
• Wound care experience a must

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in good standing (in applicable state)
• Current CPR certification
• Minimum one year clinical experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Able to constantly travel from assignment to assignment
• Able to travel within geographic area
