Day to Day



The Loan Administrator is responsible for finding breaks, fixing payment calculations, and going through their daily que of request for 2-3 assigned accounts. They will be responsible for the recording of transactions and ensuring accurate reporting on securitized loans. The candidate will also be responsible for clearing outstanding items and creating exception reports for assigned accounts and understanding discrepancies between the client and the Agent Bank. The request backlog may vary based off system error, but the candidate will be responsible for analyzing syndicated loans and seeing where the errors stand with cash breaks that are invested. The candidate will input fixes into the banks workflow tools such as Bombardi/ Solvis, and ramp up with their own accounts once training is complete. Training will last between 1-2 weeks, and the candidate will be responsible for job shadowing a sr. specialist, taking notes and completing online training sessions on a daily basis until they're comfortable with their own accounts.







Responsibilities:

* Timely and accurate data entry of detailed loan transactions into the loan system of record.

* Gain a thorough understanding of the workings of syndicated loans.

* Ensure that asset balances are current, accurate and up-to-date by the end of each day.

* Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of detailed loan structures - a participated/syndicated loan may consist of several loans with different maturity dates, term or revolving, etc.

* Quality check work to ensure the highest level of accuracy.

* Clear outstanding items on tickler and exception reports for assigned loans/accounts.

* Research and reconcile syndicated loans principal and interest

discrepancies between BNY Mellon and Agent Bank.

* Track loan history from other financial institutions.

* Other duties as assigned.

Must Haves



intermediate proficiency with Excel-will utilize v-lookups, formulas, etc

Strong written and oral communication skills.

bach degree in accounting, finance, math or related field

0+ years of experience with a finance/ math background (can either have internships or background in finance related role-examples loan analyst, loan specialist, loan admin., AR/AP, Billing Specialist, financial representative, Tax Clerk, clsoing coordinator, loan originator, etc.)

Must be vaccinated once RTO occurs
