Job Description
Under general supervision, incumbent is responsible for handling and completing all post-closing insurance (hazard, flood, and auto) related requirements and obligations; while working closely with the third party insurance vendor.
Responsibilities
- Process and enter all insurance items, record notes, and initiate loan changes
- Verify policy renewals, cancelations, reinstatements, and deficiencies with agents/insurance carriers
- Produce custom notices and distribute documentation addressing deficiencies to customers and/or lending officer
- Handle all customer/lender/agent insurance inquires
- Process all unable to locate insurance, and process cross-collateralization
- Distribution of daily and bi-weekly processing reports/notices to lending staff
- Funding of premiums; add the premium to the loans and refund premium to loans
- Obtaining additional information for loans; Multiple collateral percentages and/or values; Collateral verification, Flood Zones ; Updating flood determination criteria
- Call and communicate with customers and insurance companies/agents on insurance; Deficiencies, Initiate getting flood zones corrected, if incorrect, Insurance verification (if needed)
- Work new loans to expedite delivery of insurance policies to CPIA
- Assist with flood map changes
- Other job duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent education certificate (GED) required
- Minimum of 3 years working with consumer and commercial loan documentation
- Minimum of 1 year of loan funding experience
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (e.g. create new documents, edit existing files, create tables, sort/filter data, print documents, generate new records, email and calendaring)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Written communication skills including grammar, spelling and composition
- Verbal communication skills including the ability to interact professionally with all levels of management
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
- Strong attention to detail and able to take direction
- Must have ability to prioritize a variety of tasks, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
- Ability to follow set procedures and practices
