Job Description
Under direct supervision, incumbent is responsible for reviewing the accuracy of all data input for key fields on the banks core system for noncomplex consumer and commercial loan types. Accuracy of maintenance to loan accounts and posting of advances. Accurately and timely reviewing reports to validate key data fields and accuracy of payment coding on core system. Key contact for customer service for internal as well as external customers. Accuracy of reviewing loan payoff requests prepared by the loan servicing team to ensure proper approval and documentation supports the request.
Responsibilities
- Review Consumer and Commercial loan types for data input accuracy on core system
- Timely and accurate review of all loan fields for loans booked within 2-5 days.
- Accurately completing the detail checklist to include all required information of loan review.
- Identify and document on checklist errors found and timely report back to appropriate booker for correction with specific details.
- Follow up to ensure timely and accurate corrections were made for booking errors reported.
- Review all loan advances, maintenance, and payment/payment transactions posted previous day
- Timely review various reports received completed review of maintenance, advance, and payment application items input previous day.
- Ensure maintenance results were accurate by comparing to the approved executed source document that was received.
- Make sure payments were input using the correct payment transaction code.
- Timely submit payment or advance corrections to the servicing team to correct.
- Review all payoff requests prepare by servicing for noncomplex loan types
- Timely review payoff requests submitted by servicing before they are sent out to requestor.
- Make sure any additional fees are included as required by the loan agreement
- Assist with projects within department as needed as well as cross train in other functions.
- Produce accurate results and meet deadlines.
- Accuracy reviewing of all conversion field data during mock/test and conversion weekend.
- Other Duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent education certificate (GED) required.
- Minimum of 3 years of working in loan operations or lending support function
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a banking environment
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (e.g. create new documents, edit existing files, create tables, sort/filter data, print documents, generate new records, email and calendaring)
- Basic problem solving and ability to multi –task in a fast pace environment.
- Strong verbal communication skills and customer service skills to interact professionally with all levels of management.
- Written communication skills including grammar, spelling, and composition
- Ability to work independently with a professional demeanor and be self-motivated with a cooperative attitude.
- Must have ability to prioritize a variety of tasks and meet demanding deadlines.
- Ability to perform daily operations to ensure adherence to bank policies and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Ability to adapt to changing work environment.
- Careful attention to detail and time management.
- Strong team player.
