Maintenance Technician

FULL-TIME

$18/hr

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment and forklifts by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Locating sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Controlling downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance. Preparing downtime maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintaining equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
- Repairing electrical machinery, electrical motor controls, compressed air systems, basic plumbing, piping, bearing , seals, gear boxes, sprockets, chains, belting, and clutches.
- Conserving maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Maintaining technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
- Maintaining continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Maintaining safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Shift start: 5:00PM
Shift length: 8 hours

Qualifications
  • Must pass drug screen
  • Must pass background check
  • Can lift 75 lbs
  • Must be at least 18+ years old
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Five years’ experience in maintenance, or any appropriate combination of education and experience Working knowledge of electricity and electrical troubleshooting up to and including 480 VAC. Ability to run conduit and size wiring accordingly to circuit demands and within the boundaries established by the National Electrical code. Ability to troubleshoot a programmable logic control. Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing is a plus. Ability to cut and weld stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel a plus. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid Driver’s License or State Identification. Overtime is required and off shift / weekend work will be required at times. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Able to climb ladders and work on the roof and from boom and platform lifts safely. Must be willing to work in inclement weather i.e. Shovel snow or work outside in the heat and or rain/snow. Compensation Range is from $18.00 to $20.00 an hour.
