As an International Guest Experience Manager, you will assist in all facets of the property operation by enhancing all resources to ensure outstanding customer service and guest satisfaction while meeting financial goals. Commitment and dedication to our Spirit of Service culture is an expected behavior to be displayed toward ours guests and team members at all times.

The International Guest Experience Manager is responsible for tracking our Japanese occupancy levels and presenting this information in weekly staff meetings as well as planning themed cultural events and activities, Facilitating a weekly social event for Japanese-speaking guests, assisting at the Front Desk and other departments where Japanese speaking is required, ensuring that all Japanese guests are well informed and up to date during emergency situations, and any translation services that may be required, both written and verbal. This position will also track Japanese Survey SALT scores and make recommendations to ensure expectations, benchmarks, and goals are met daily basis.

  • Respond to Japanese SALT for all 3 properties
  • Deriving feedback from Japanese guests, translate and send it to the management team
  • Address issues with the appropriate departments including Sales and Marketing
  • Respond to social media (TripAdvisor and Google)
  • Be outwardly visible and interact with the guests/owners in all public areas to insure the proper guest experience. Serve as a public relations ambassador for the resort at all times. Routinely rotate through each area of the resort assessing quality assurance measures (cleanliness, attentive of staff, and any engineering needs). Consult with department managers of any areas needing attention.
  • Build a strong rapport with team members in each department and strive to educate, motivate, recognize and reward those exemplifying high levels of service.

Qualifications

To fulfill this role optimally, you have the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • Ability to fluently speak English and Japanese
  • Prior experience in the Hospitality industry
  • Exhibits a professional demeanor, business savviness, and strong public relations skills
  • Able to work flexible schedules including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays

It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • BA/BS/Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years of managerial experience
  • Front Office and Housekeeping experience
