Manufacturing Associate

FULL-TIME

$17.30/hr

Responsible for measuring, threading adjusting flange fit, and facing the flange on a piece of pipe. Work also includes the operation of the machine and a crane to move pipe in and out of the machine.

Essential functions:
- Identifying fabrication requirements written on each piece of pipe
- Placing pipe in the machine, center the pipe, and tighten for work. After the pipe is in place, the machining tapered threads into the pipe. During this process, the machine operator is responsible for verifying measurements, such as tread depth and correct taper
- After the threads are cut, testing the flange to make sure it screws onto the pipe properly. Adjustments are made to the threads if an issue occurs.
- Applying glue on pipe and flange and using the machine to tighten the flange onto the pipe
- Running the cutting tool across the surface of the face of the flange to flush fit the flange onto the pipe
- Removing pipe from the machine and placing it on boards
- Operating overhead crane and a forklift truck to lift heavy equipment and transport material
- Performing all additional projects or assignments as directed by management
- Complying with all safety policies and procedures
- Reading, understanding, and complying with all Forterra code of ethics and HR policies and procedures

Schedule

Shift start: 7:00AM
Shift length: 8 hours
Monday - Friday, with possibility of overtime on Saturdays and weekdays

Qualifications

• Can lift 50 lbs
• Must be at least 18+ years old

Previous experience with machinery is desired There is a REQUIRED DRESS CODE, must wear steel toed boots and jeans for the walkthrough.
