Established and global company with a good working culture at their large facility commutable to the west of Greenville, SC has a Manufacturing Engineering Technician - CNC position on the 2nd shift that supports the engineering functions for the organization in areas such as troubleshooting and improving existing processes and developing new processes and/or machinery programs. This company values personal / work life balance. There is a $1.50 an hour shift differential for working on the 2nd shift.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for implementing projects to improve cost and quality of the manufacturing processes, products, and components
  • Investigates and resolves mechanical and/or electrical work-in-process problems
  • Serves as back up Manufacturing Engineer when needed
  • Responsible for programming and troubleshooting CNC machinery
  • Works closely with the Quality Department to accurately measure parts and assemblies after changes are made to programs
  • Recommends and implements improvements and/or modifications in sequence of operations, equipment utilization, and related matters
  • Works closely with Product Engineering designers on product design feasibility and new manufacturing process development
  • Develops and maintains manufacturing documentation and quality plans according to company standards when new processes are under development
  • Coordinates with vendors regarding new product designs, tooling, and machine parts
  • Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Maintain vigilance for any hazardous conditions or practices in the workplace and immediately report any unsafe condition or practice to your supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics and/or Related Field
  • 2 + years of Manufacturing Automation Experience
  • 2 + years in Manufacturing Machining Experience
  • 2 + years CNC Programming Experience
  • Must be open to working on the second shift
