The Opportunity:

Clean Harbors in St. Paul, MN is looking for an Environmental Technician to work at a local customer site in Cannon Falls, MN. The Environmental Technician is responsible for moving drums; doing inspections; labeling; cleaning in accordance with our company policies and procedures; Our Environmental Technician position is an entry point into an exciting and rewarding career at Clean Harbors. Key Responsibilities:

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Must be able to work in ALL weather conditions (this is not a lab based position);
• Inspects storage area for leaks or spills;
• Daily walk around plant checking drums-noting which drums need to be switched out;
• Deliver empty labeled containers to plant departments daily;
• Make sure all waste is properly packaged for shipment per DOT regulations; Labeled; Closed & Sealed; Package is clean;
• Empty totes and drums placed at the pad, ensure that bungs/lids are in place;
• Maintenance of the Non-Hazardous Waste area and waste contained there per compliance with local, state, and federal regulations & laws including;
• Physically demanding position; Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

• Adequate aisle space
• Proper labeling
• Drums and containers are closed
• Containers are free of waste and debris
• Containers are not leaking or damaged
• No material on the ground
• Proper segregations
• Organized and clean

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required;
• HazWoper 8 Hour a plus;
• RCRA knowledge a plus;
• Enthusiastic personality;
• Valid Driver's License and clean Motor Vehicle Record;
• Entry level position.

Employment is contingent upon a successful background check and drug screen.

Some positions also require a pre-hire medical exam and/or a driving history review. Must meet all work eligibility requirements. Environmentally-responsible business.
