Role Summary:

• Recognize and repair problems with patterns on 28” and 36” molding lines.
• Recognize and repair problems with coreboxes for the coreroom.
• Fix and remount patterns. Inspect and fix coreboxes if needed when received from receiving
• Repair molding flasks.
• Duplicate patterns when needed to make the most possible castings per mold in the Foundry
• Mount and gate patterns on plates or boards.
• Repair or replace coreboxes and patterns when needed.
• Check patterns and coreboxes that are being sent out to other foundries and check their condition when returned.
• Perform day to day maintenance on machines in pattern shop to keep them in good working condition.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year Pattern experience or equivalent
• Work well with people
• Ability to read and interpret simple shop instructions
• Ability to use measuring devices
• Basic math skills
• Good basic mechanical understanding

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Previous Pattern Making/Repair experience is preferred.
• Ability to utilize CAD, Scanning Function, 3-D printing, and the respective software utilized for these operations
