SPECIAL NOTES: Phlebotomists will NOT be considered for this job.  Must have completed a clinical rotation, performing tests in all areas of the lab at a hospital to qualify for a national certification as a Medical Technologist.

• 1-2 years of experience preferred. 
• Works in collaboration with all other care disciplines to provide safe, efficient, and coordinated care for patients. 
• Works under the guidance of the laboratory medical director and laboratory administrative director to provide clinical laboratory testing for patients of all ages and all patient types. 
• Performs procedures including patient testing, operation and maintenance of clinical laboratory equipment and quality control procedures for all essential assays in the laboratory. 

• ASCP certification as a Medical Technologist or equivalent required
• Current State license                          

• BS degree from an accredited college or university or state designation required.  Degree must be in Medical Technology or one of the biological or chemical sciences.
