Overview

Under the direction of the Health Services Administrator (HSA), Program Manager (PM), or higher licensed medical professional, the Mental Health Program Manager is responsible for providing administrative and clinical oversight to the Behavioral Health and ROC Programs. This position is responsible for staff coverage and scheduling, on-call scheduling, assigning responsibilities, ensuring the delivery of services are appropriate and efficient, and ensuring all programs are operating at the level that mutually meets the county's and company's expectations. The Mental Health Program Manager holds responsibilities as administrator, attending to administrative issues and duties as they arise, interfacing with correctional facility administration staff as needed. The Mental Health Program Manager will hold a clinical case load and will serve as a consult/clinician for advanced or difficult to manage cases. He/she is also on-call 24/7, and will support the licensed counselors and psychiatrists in servicing the behavioral health needs of persons served. The Mental Health Program Manager communicates on a regular basis with all behavioral health, psychiatric and nursing staff.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) $5,000 Sign on Bonus! Salary ranges from $115,000 to $130,000

Qualifications

Education:

  • Completion of an accredited LMFT or LCSW program

Experience:
  • Five (5) years' experience as an LMFT or LCSW
  • Mental health program administrative experience

Licenses/Certifications:
  • Current (and must maintain) unrestricted LMFT or LCSW license in state of practic
  • Current (and must maintain) lifesaving BLS certification through AHA
Responsibilities

  1. Oversight and management of all Behavioral Health/ ROC Programs and its policies and procedures as dictated by the company and the facility
  2. Oversight and management for Suicide Prevention Program
  3. Active participant in QI program
  4. Monitors statistics and identifies trends for new QI projects
  5. Oversight and management of Clinician/ Counselor personnel
  6. Assists in provision of training, guidance and accountability for each personnel as it pertains to adherence to facility and company expectations
  7. Works with all company program management staff to accomplish program goals and expectations as set forth by the company and the Facility
  8. Has complete knowledge of the duties and ability to perform duties expected of a Clinician/ Counselor
  9. Must be on-call during off -site hours and in times of need, or an emergency, must respond within one hour of the crisis call
  10. Will maintain a clinical caseload and serve as consult/clinician for advanced or difficult to manage cases
  11. Strong, effective and compassionate leadership skills
  12. Involvement in the job shadow portion of the interview process of potential staff
  13. Involvement in orientation and training of new employees
  14. Responsible for the performance evaluations and successful training of direct reports
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.
