What you will do:

As a Mental Health Worker (MHW) you will work with the Behavioral Rehabilitation Program to support behavioral and mental health needs of the residents. You will encourage residents participating in the Behavioral Rehabilitation Program to attend groups and activities. As a Mental Health Worker, you will also be performing Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) duties as needed and therefore, need to be a certified CNA.

 

Must haves:

• CNA certification with a successful completion of a CNA program.
• 1 year experience working with patients or residents with mental disorders or dementia
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care

Would be great:

• Previous Nursing Assistant experience or direct care to multiple residents
• Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment
• Experience with PointClickCare
