Job Description
The LinkedIn Learning Solutions Content Team is looking for a Motion Graphics Designer who will create high-quality instructional graphics and animations, in a production environment, to support our online video courses. Working under the direction of the Segment Lead Designer, the Designer will collaborate with content producers, video editors, and other members of the graphics team; and will create assets that support the instructional goals of the course while matching the quality and aesthetic of our brand.
Major Responsibilities & Activities:
- Create instructional graphics within a production environment for online course videos
- Work effectively and efficiently with a variety of personalities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, production environment with a sense of urgency
- Translate storyboard direction into on-screen graphics maintaining consistency with established style-guides
- Upload graphics to company server for access by stakeholders and team members
- Create graphic assets using company approved tools with a focus on accuracy, instructional value, placement, and the timing of graphical content
- Work closely with the lead designers, graphic designers, editors, and producers to design graphics and animations that support the instructional value of our courses
- Ensure that the brand is accurately represented in all graphical content
- Create assets for upload to a media management library
- Work with the graphics team to continually develop, define and implement our aesthetic to instructional graphics
- Give and receive constructive feedback with the in-house team and vendors
- Review vendor-supplied graphics for accuracy and compliance with style-guides
- Work with the company tracking system to keep projects updated
- Maintain knowledge of post-production tools
- Manage priorities and workload effectively to meet all schedules and deadlines
- Set accurate estimates on delivery expectations and update the production team regularly Perform other duties as may be assigned
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of graphic design experience
- Minimum 2-year degree in Design or other related field or equivalent work experience
- Experience in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects
- Experience working in instructional graphics
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact within a team environment effectively and professionally
- Basic understanding of the video production workflow
- Self-starter who strives to continually improve his or her skills in design and can work independently with limited supervision
- Skill in organizing and prioritizing work and following assignments through to completion
- Ability to be flexible in schedule and adaptable to constant change
- Knowledge of Premiere Pro, Keynote, and After Effects Expressions/Scripting a plus
