Job Description

Our client in Willoughby, OH is a manufacturer of injection molded and extruded ceramic products.
They are currently seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician for their successful operation!  

Direct Hire opportunity
$23+/hr.

Job Summary: 
• Perform mechanical and electrical installations and repairs to all plant related equipment.
.• Apply continuous improvement tools to achieve Maintenance excellence/best practices.

Responsibilities: 
• Create/manage preventive/predictive maintenance activities
• Manage maintenance related projects/contractors and follow up on performance
• Train other maintenance technicians
• Lead and/or participate in maintenance 5S/Lean/Kaizen improvement efforts
• Determine/maintain critical spare parts inventories
• Comply with plant safety rules and housekeeping
• Assess mechanical/electrical work orders and make repairs without assistance
• Maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
• Maintain chiller & presses
• Maintain kilns and furnaces
• Maintain dust collectors and CNC equipment
• Maintain extruders, ovens, various grinders, and saws
• Maintain mixers
• Maintain miscellaneous automated and semi-automated production equipment
• Maintain miscellaneous support equipment (fans, pumps, blowers, etc.) • Maintain facility electrical systems
• Maintain facility lavatories, building and grounds
• Perform rebuilds on production and building equipment
• Perform general construction/demolition as needed
• Maintain facility security systems and correct deficiencies
• Operate machining equipment for equipment repairs
• Welding of steel, cast iron, and aluminum
• Specify and order repair parts as needed
• Perform other related duties and assignments as required
• Utilize CMMS to capture/track/analyze equipment breakdown history and maintain parts inventory

Requirements: 
• Proficient with operating/managing a Maintenance CMMS (Computerized Maintenance System)
• Proficient at both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting to determine root cause of failures
• AA Degree in Industrial Electronics Technology, Mechatronics Technology, or comparable discipline; or equivalent work experience.
• Proficient in pneumatics and hydraulics
• Read measuring instruments
• Mechanical and Electrical ability
• Blueprint reading
• Demonstrated communication skills-verbal and written
• Job specific training required: All safety related training; all environmental related training; operate lift-truck; and mechanical, electrical, welding, and hydraulic/pneumatic training
• Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly; up to 100 lbs. occasionally more
