The Chronicle is seeking a NetSuite Functional Analyst. 

 

This is a hybrid position requiring at least 1 day a week in the Washington DC office if you are within driving distance. 

 

The NetSuite Functional Analyst supports the evolution of our finance and business practices in NetSuite, and will lead the company to widely accept, trust, and depend on NetSuite as our primary financial data source. The analyst provides analysis, design, development, system training, implementation, and maintenance support for applicable NetSuite modules and related third-party tools at The Chronicle. This role ensures that our NetSuite instance is configured to maximize efficiency and utility and that the company’s end users are taking full advantage of all relevant NetSuite functions.  The Functional Analyst collaborates with senior business leaders and the Finance team to assess our needs, improve and streamline operational workflows, enhance financial and sales reporting, and to optimize system performance and usage. 


The NetSuite Functional analyst is responsible for identifying and executing primarily configurable solutions within our ERP and CRM and works with the engineering teams and NetSuite ACS to deliver those solutions on-time and efficiently, within an agile setting.  This role is also responsible for collaborating with product, business solutions analysts, engineering, and the business to identify integration and data migration requirements. 


The NetSuite Functional Analyst will have a broad role, configuring NetSuite while also taking a holistic view of the platform solution.  The Functional Analyst will support the data team in identifying proper data management/integration practices related to financial systems and will implement configuration and testing best practices.  Reporting to the Business Solutions Manager and working under the guidance of the Principal Solution Analyst, this role leverages strong planning and technical skills to achieve significant results and will also support the CFO and CRO as we integrate third-party platforms, migrate to NetSuite CRM, and develop insightful and timely data and reports and dashboards to help manage the business.

What you’ll do: 

  • Perform an initial audit and ongoing audits of the company’s NetSuite configuration and assess how key stakeholders are using the system. 
  • Based on audits and under the guidance of business solutions leadership and senior managers, prioritize work and develop a solution for addressing existing issues, improving user experience, and implementing new functionality 
  • Define and document requirements and workflow diagrams to communicate proposed solutions for business, finance, and technology stakeholders. 
  • Configure, customize, test, and enhance existing and new NetSuite functionality/modules to meet requirements and stakeholder needs. 

Qualifications: 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance, Technology, or related field required. 
  • 5+ years of experience implementing and administering NetSuite solutions in a related industry as a functional consultant or analyst. 
  • Continuing education in NetSuite ERP and a NetSuite Certified ERP Consultant. 
  • In-depth knowledge of ERP, workflow configuration, and system workflows and capabilities. 
  • Expertise in the following tools: CRM, project accounting, business insights, finance, project management. 
  • Experience in and ability to become an expert in NetSuite CRM and Project Management tools.
