Position description
The Family Medicine team is looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the team working in Plainview.
The selected individual will practice full scope family medicine primary care on a multidisciplinary team, along-side internal medicine and pediatric practices. APP’s are empaneled in our primary care practices and are integral in providing a range of services including acute access, chronic disease management, and continuity in our population based practice. Teaching and counseling individuals, families, and groups are a significant part of NP activities.
Qualifications
Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Must have current Minnesota RN license and certification as a FNP, ACNP or ANP. Licensure must allow provider to see the full spectrum of patients from newborn through geriatrics.
Or graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice.
Candidate must be eligible for DEA registration.
Additional qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical clinic or hospital is preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills are required, and must have demonstrated skill in working collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team.
