Are you interested in becomming a CNA?  Now is the chance!! Our Facility is currenlty hiring nursing assistants to assist our CNA's on the floor to get ready for our next CNA class starting soon!   

Our Facility is under new ownership and is currently hiring for CNA's.  Come and join our team in a warm, and freindly environment!!

Classes begin Nov 29th and end Dec 21. Classes are held Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays, 9am-3pm. Thirty-six hours of  clinical experience will need to be completed to complete the course. Completion of course will enable the student to take the State Certification Test.  The daily schedule includes,  lecture in the morning, 9-12 AM and Skill training/practice from 1-3 PM.

The primary purpose of the Certified Nursing Assistant , under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, is to perform various care activities for seniors in a long-term care environment. Assist residents in dressing or undressing, bathing, or eating. Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens or gathers vital signs but does not start or administer intravenous fluids. Assist nursing staff members with procedures if needed. Document resident care services and interactions as needed.

 

Essential Duties include the following:

· Manage the day-to-day schedules for Aides. Schedules are subject to many changes throughout the week.

· Ensures that the plan of care is executed as written and maintain up-to-date patient records.

· Assigns staff for appropriate patient care while being fiscally conservative.

· Answers signal lights, bells, or intercom system to determine residents' needs.

· Bathes, dresses, and undresses residents.

· Serves and collects food trays and feeds residents requiring help.

· Transports residents or assists residents to walk.

· Turns and repositions residents, alone or with assistance, to prevent bedsores.

· Changes bed linens, runs errands, directs visitors, and answers telephone.

· Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed.

· Assists with laundry and housekeeping duties.

· Dusts and cleans residents' rooms.

· Dependable and able to meet schedule requirements (attendance and punctuality) with no restrictions.

· Other duties as assigned by DON.

 

Qualifications, Education and/or Experience:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.

 

· Certified Nursing Assistant certification in applicable State required.

· Must complete the required amount of training hours yearly.

· One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

· Must possess a general knowledge of laws and restrictions regarding senior living care, as well as a solid understanding of opportunities and limits of other levels of care within senior living.

· Must exhibit and promote a high level of customer service, hospitality, curiosity and friendliness towards all residents, visitors, employees and the overall community.

Computer Skills:

Proficiency in Internet browsers (e.g. Explorer, Chrome, Fire Fox)
