Responsibilities for Nursing Student:

• Provides for ADL’s by assisting with serving meals and feeding patients as necessary, ambulating, turning, and positioning patients 

• Administration of physical care i.e., baths, hair care, oral care, back care, elimination care, etc.

• Admission, discharge, and transfer of patients

• Measure and record vital signs, weight, intake, and output information

• Perform routine perineal area and incontinence care

• Observe and report any changes in patient's general condition

• Maintain a neat and safe patient environment

• Complete documentation daily and accurately on required forms

• Flexibility in accepting different assignments

Qualifications for Nursing Student:

• Nursing assistant certification (CNA) required

• Ability to read, write and speak the English language

• Ability to record information 

• Good communication skills with excellent self-discipline 

• Ability to comply with the patient bill of rights and employee responsibilities

• Ability to comply with departmental safety policies and procedures
