Job Description

Structural Integrity Associates, Inc. (SI) is seeking an Engineer I to join our Oil & Gas business unit. This Engineer I would perform work requiring knowledge of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. The Engineer I would observe and learn business development techniques and abilities in organizing, executing and coordinating project assignments, as well as build towards a maturity in engineering judgment under more senior personnel.


Although this role is for a full-time hire, SI will also consider senior-level students who can work part-time until graduation in May 2022.


Responsibilities:

  • Supports technical execution under the supervision of senior staff of client projects providing unmatched quality in delivering consulting services to pipeline operators.
  • Ensures the unmatched quality of services and deliverables.
  • Exemplifies the company culture and core values.


Key Metrics:

  • Maintains client satisfaction by delivering quality services in a timely and professional manner.
  • Capable of managing personal workload to ensure projects remain on time and within budget.


Requirements:

  • 0-3 years of experience in solving engineering problems. Experience with a pipeline operator, consulting firm or major service provider supporting integrity management, regulatory compliance, and/or pipeline engineering to the oil and gas pipeline industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with codes and industry standards such as API 5L, API 579, and ASME B31.4 / 31.8 a plus.
  • Familiarity with federal codes such as 49CFR Parts 192 and/or 195 a plus.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams.
  • Database experience including geospatially referenced (GIS)and/or programming experience is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as required for project execution (including site work) and client meetings.
