Pediatrics - Night shift

Job Duties:

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
•Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesse and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. What You Will Need Licensure / Certification / Registration:
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• One or more of the following required:
• Advanced Life Support obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• BLS Provider obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred.


Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, and currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Mexico.
  • Preferred: at least one year's clinical experience, medical, surgical, or critical care.
  • Complies with accepted professional standards and principles.
  • Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling role obligations.
  • Has excellent observation, good clinical judgment, and good oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work with little to no supervision.
  • Acts as a liaison between patient/family and healthcare personnel to ensure necessary care is provided promptly and effectively.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

License requirements:

  • RN license in the state of New Mexico
  • BLS certification.
  • PEDS certs preferred.
