Full Time Physical Therapist Assistant- New Grads Accepted

Outpatient Clinic

8-10 patients a day

2-3 evaluations per day

Location: Bakersfield, California

Our client in Bakersfield, California, is seeking to hire an outgoing, licensed physical therapist assistant to fill a permanent opening. This is a full time position, Monday through Friday.

Requirements of the Physical Therapist Assistant

• Experienced PT or New Grads Accepted
• Valid California state PTA License
• Associate s degree from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team setting

Responsibilities of the Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant

• Observe patients before, during, and after therapy, noting the patient s status and reporting it to physical therapist
• Help patients do specific exercises as part of the plan of care
• Treat patients using a variety of techniques, such as massage and stretching
• Use devices and equipment, such as walkers, to help patients
• Educate patients and family members about what to do after treatment
