This position is currently working remote and will eventually go to a full time hybrid work schedule splitting time between home and the Auburn Hills corporate office.

The Powertrain Model Controller is responsible for but not limited to:

• Complete program financial control responsibility for core engine, transmission, or electrified powertrain product development
• Supporting Powertrain platform organization with financial analysis for cost studies, business case development and program reviews through cost/investment reporting and tracking
• Communicating the program financial position to senior management and other functional operating teams
• Compiling powertrain variable and fixed cost, volumes and investment (manufacturing, supplier tooling, ER&D) inputs to ensure proper business case development for governance approvals
• Supporting powertrain platform target-setting process for future programs
• Tracking core powertrain cost / investment funding for approved programs by approving technical Change Notices (CN's), sourcing and tooling purchase orders
• Support annual product cost study through evaluation of Bill of Material (BOM) and perform year-over-year reconciliations
• Support powertrain CapEx business plan, calendar year budget and monthly forecast
• Standardization of program financial controls and improvements for powertrain finance processes and methodologies
• Completing ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as required
• Coordinating global powertrain platform finance activities/studies, as required
