We are hiring a remote Lead Programmer to work with a pharma company’s internal team leading gene therapy projects and utilize your CDISC knowledge and advanced statistical programming capabilities.

This position reports to the Director, Biostatistics and Programming in the FSP Services business unit in Cytel.  The Lead Statistical Programmer works independently with only concept level instruction and very little supervision, tracks progress, and provides expert technical support to team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Are responsible for both primary and validation programming
• Develop and/or validate SAS programs to generate SDTM/ADaM datasets
• Develop and/or validate SAS programs to generate statistical output (TLFs) as specified in the SAP and programming specifications
• Document data and programming information in accordance with industry standards
• Manage timelines for statistical programming activities
• Develop templates for derived dataset specifications, programming specifications, and other supporting documents
• Develop SAS macros and templates for reporting and data cleaning

Lead programmer (senior level)

• Is responsible for leading project/programs
• Is responsible for validating and overseeing CRO’s work
• Is responsible tracking work of a junior programmer
• Contributes in developing statistical programming SOPs/WIs and functional infrastructure

Preferred Education and Experiences:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a scientific discipline.  SAS programming at an expert level with a minimum of 6 years of experience in statistical programming in a clinical trial environment.
