Summary of Role\:
GlobalFoundries has a 2022 Internship Position available at the Burlington Vermont site for a manufacturing engineer to work in a manufacturing engineering organization the supports the Factory daily operations. GlobalFoundries manufactures a wide variety of Foundry semiconductor products.
The FAB9 Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance organization is responsible for engineering support, development and continuous improvement of our factory operations.
This position is for a candidate that will graduate and be ready to enter the workforce within the next two years. This candidate must be enrolled in a BS/MS in Mechanical Engineer, Chemical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Materials Science, Solid State Physics or other relevant engineering discipline.
Essential Responsibilities include\:
- Successful candidates will be comfortable leading improvement projects and working on a diverse team in a manufacturing environment
- They will work in a dynamic collaborative environment requiring strong teaming skills with engineers, managers, technicians and production employees
Other Responsibilities\:
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications\:
- Currently Enrolled in an Accredited College and or University in Bachelor’s Program – Majoring in Engineering, Materials Science or Solid-State Physics
- Strong Academic Standing
- Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
Preferred Qualifications\:
- Experience using Google collaboration tools
- Microsoft Excel Knowledge
- Strong Written & Verbal Communications Skills
- Attention to Detail
- Self-Motivated, able to take ownership of assignments, develop work plans and proactively seek feedback to ensure objective are aligned and met
- Team player, able to succeed in a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Travel – none required
