Job Title: Product Development Engineer

Location: Long Island, NY area

Compensation: $80 - $110,000 “range”

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in product development projects assuring that the project’s objectives are met and that completed on schedule.
As the Product Development Engineer, you will troubleshoot equipment and processing issues that affect processing, quality and performance.
You will collaborate with cross functional teams on problem resolution and implementation.
In this role, you will prepare tape samples utilizing various analytical test equipment and data analysis in order to evaluate and present new designs.
Identify, source, research and and utilize new raw materials for the purposes of product innovation and cost reductions.
Create technical documentation packages, including product specifications, raw material specifications, stability and general technical data to support new product introduction.

Job Requirements:

BS Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Polymers or related experience
Three years or more experience in Pressure Sensitive Tapes and Adhesives manufacturing.
An understanding of process control equipment and the interrelations of processing conditions, vs final product performance.
Competence in DSC, FTIR Peel Adhesion, Tack and Shear testing and other analytical methods
Proficiency with MS office suite
Knowledge in statistical methods and programs (SPC/DOE/MiniTab)
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, be a proactive thinker, and results-oriented team player
Some Project Management experience is preferred.
Ability to travel as needed (Limited)
