    Responsible for the strategy and design of MVP's product lines, including but not limited to all Commercial fully insured and self-insured products. Responsible for the strategy and design of ancillary products and diversified services, such as HRA, HSA, FSA, COBRA, Dental, and Vision. This leadership position plays a strategic role in the identification, development, and management of services and products that support MVP's strategic plan. Provides overall strategic leadership to MVP's Commercial and ancillary product lines. Develops key business strategies for growth, retention, and new opportunities. Leads a team responsible for the success of these products, which includes associated vendors and customer experience elements. Following the MVP Way, proposes new initiatives to advance MVP's goals. Monitors initiative planning to ensure it tracks on schedule - incorporate new initiatives into operations planning and ensures appropriate market positioning. Role will focus on driving deeper penetration in MVP markets and growing market share, as well as identifying other opportunities to grow (i.e. geographic or additional product lines). Provides leadership to Sales, Sales Training and Marketing Communications to ensure that sales strategy, brand direction and product/program positioning are aligned. Establishes, maintains, and facilitates cooperative working relationships among all cross-functional groups. Serves as the subject matter expert on products assigned including thorough analysis of all aspects of product performance, design, competitive position, strategy, and regulatory compliance. Reports product performance, creates business cases and project plans, develops new product recommendations, and presents to executive leadership through written and verbal presentations. Research competitors, market updates, and industry changes; reports on competitive positioning and market performance. Performs other duties as assigned.

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing or other related field or equivalent work experience.
    • Graduate degree preferred

    Minimum Experience:
    • Minimum of ten years of health insurance experience, preferably in Commercial fully insured and/or self-insured. Preferable experience in product development, product marketing, product implementation/operations, or product communications.

    Required Skills:
    • Self-directed and detail oriented with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills and solid judgment and confidence.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent computer and software skills including but not limited to: MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
    • Experience with web application data entry programs and data development/management software.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills for application in dealing with all constituents - co-workers, vendors, and management staff.
    • A team player able to work well in an energetic, dynamic and deadline-oriented environment.
    • Previous experience required in situations demanding strict adherence to confidentiality.
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines.
    • Some travel, including overnight, to work with staff in MVP's regional offices required. #LI-AD1
