Production Manager

• Global chemical manufacturer recently promoted their Production Manager and is looking to hire the next Production Manager to oversee this critical department
• The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all of operations including managing, planning, directing, and coordinating the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing, safety and quality

Responsibilities:

• Directly supervise and manage 35 employees across a 3-shift department
• Strategic involvement with leading continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six-Sigma, and similar principles
• Establish a culture of engagement and set the strategic direction for the team.
• Monitor, exceed, and maintain production standards for efficiencies, material waste, safety and quality.
• Ensure employee productivity, facility safety, and maintenance activities while working in conjunction with other managers and supervisors

Requirements:

• BA/BS degree in Chemical Engineering is required (no exceptions)
• 5+ years in a chemical reactor manufacturing environment
• Must have experience with process safety management
• Must be capable of problem solving, multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced environment
