• RUNNING THE MACHINE: Be on time Do what it takes to keep the machine running while the operator is away Load material on unwinds Take material off rewind Make splices Check viscosity of glue
• ADMINISTRATIVE: Read and understand production order Call out raw materials Call out liquids from Ink Room. Read and understand production order -Accurately post raw material usage.
• COMMUNICATION: Communicate with crew on shift Communicate with crews before and after shift Communicate with ink room Communicate with plant personnel: material handler mechanics electricians lab supervisor.
• QUALITY: Monitor web for defects Lab checks Check which side material is being laminated to
• CHANGE OVERS: Web machine correctly Install doctor blades Change impression rolls Change cylinders Change and check condition of bearings Set up core shafts Set slit knives Set ledgers Wash glue and combining nip rolls Wash pans Change pans Load SOP and MOP into computer
• GMP: Sweeping Mopping Clean/straighten area Empty trash/dumpster
• PPE: Safety glasses Safety shoes Cut resistant gloves Rubber gloves Leather palm gloves Cotton gloves Ear plugs
