Production Supervisor -3^rd shift

$65-80K plus bonus

Our manufacturing client in Orangeburg, SC is looking to hire a Production Supervisor for their 3^rd shift operations. This Supervisor will be responsible for assigning and coordinating the work in a manufacturing department in order to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality on the 3^rd shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee most day to day operations of the group and have authority for personnel actions.
• Maintain log of shift operations. Prepare daily time sheets for hourly employees, production summaries, overtime and downtime reports.
• Inspect product to verify production specifications are met.
• Review production schedules, material and manpower resources. Assigns employees to maximize production objectives, maintain quality and attain output requirements.
• Participate in establishing and modifying operational methods and processes by recommending changes in materials, equipment and procedures.
• Maintain a variety of reports, records and production documentation to reflect schedules and performance.
• Train new workers in the organization’s operating procedures and standards.

Job Qualifications:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2 or 4 year degree preferred.
• Requires 3+ years of manufacturing leadership and supervisory experience.
• Manufacturing and assembly background.
• Ability to lead in a production environment.
• Good work record and notable experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to be a change agent.
• Lean Manufacturing experience and ability to overcome obstacles.
• Requires tact and good judgement.
