Production Technician

FULL-TIME

$17/hr, plus $1000 new hire bonus, see details below

Assist in the preparation of products while maintaining the highest level of quality standards. Perform all jobs safely, efficiently, and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire plant in the areas of Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR), and our Customer 1st strategy. Provide leadership that embodies our 7 Kroger Manufacturing High-Performance Work System principles. Duties include:
- Ensure the quality and freshness of all products
- Maintain work areas in a safe and sanitary manner by following established procedures
- Operate certain warehouse vehicular equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
- Perform packaging function at the end of production lines
- Perform various shipping and receiving functions
- Perform labor-intensive activities associated with the production of food products
- Operate various machines used in the production of food items, including boxer/packer equipment, wrapping equipment, bottling equipment, bundler equipment, baggers, labelers, vacuum packers, etc.
- Use established procedures for properly operating equipment and make minor adjustments to maintain the equipment
- Report equipment problems for repairs
- Perform certain sanitation work in the work area
- Assist the production technician in the production process
- Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements
- Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF 2000 Systems Accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles

Schedule

Shift start: 4:00AM or 5:00AM or 6:00AM or 7:00AM or 8:00AM or 11:00AM or 2:00PM or 4:00PM
Shift length: 8 - 12 hours
Monday-Friday, some weekends and evenings required

Qualifications

• Must pass drug screen (cannabis included)
• Must pass background check
• Can lift 50 lbs
• Must be at least 18+ years old

At least 6 months of related experience or training Basic math skills, including the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent

$1000 new hire incentive

This bonus will be paid out in quarterly installments
