Job Title: Operator

A. Purpose of Position:

Safely and efficiently operate Feed Mill equipment to receive ingredients and to manufacture quality feed to Company specifications in a timely manner. Help fellow employees with Safety, Customer Service, productivity and cost control by providing personal involvement in Feed Mill management and operating decisions/problem solving.

B. Working Conditions:

Operate batching, grinding, mixing, crumbling and pelleting machinery, maintain proper amps, temp, oil levels, and quality. Be able to climb ladders and up to bin tops.

C. Principal Accountabilities:

1. Operate all computer equipment, graphics and automation within main control area.
2. Develop a working knowledge of equipment operated so they can assist in maintenance of some equipment.
3. Be proficient in receiving and / or batching operations
4. Train co-workers and new employees
5. Be familiar with production scheduling and receiving
6. Maintain quality of feed made and loaded out
7. Perform warehousing as needed or directed
8. Perform housekeeping to ensure clean and safe plant operation
9. Must have ability to work within a dusty environment and lift 50 pounds.
