These programs will deepen the impact of KMA’s exhibitions and raise awareness of the vital role the KMA plays within our community.
While public programs are an important avenue for community engagement, they also add vital thematic and informational layers to the KMA’s three annual special exhibitions. It is expected that the Public Programs Associate will conceptualize, organize, and execute 3-4 public programs per exhibition. The Associate should strike a balance between virtual programs, events that occur on-site either in the Museum’s galleries or sculpture garden, and special day trips and tours. It is the KMA’s hope that individual programs will attract 30-80 people, depending on the format, type of program, and space limitations.

· Work with Marketing and PR Departments to promote Public Programs
· Work with the Development Department to coordinate the overlap between public programming and donor cultivation goals
· Build relationships with KMA community members, as well as with other institutions and organizations within Westchester County

This includes working with Guest Services Staff and artists, speakers, performers, and technicians to ensure that supplies/materials, IT & A/V set-up needs are met for each workshop/presentation/performance; maintain an orderly inventory of tech for easy access
· Set up and facilitate virtual programs using platforms such as Zoom, Facebook, Instagram, etc.
· Record and/or livestream onsite and virtual programs to create video resources for internal and external usage
· Additional related assignments as directed
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
