JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

-Responsible for performing laboratory work as directed by Technical Manager, Production Manager, Production Supervisor, or others as required.
-Serve as a key technical team member to advance projects and achieve common goals
-Responsible for collecting high quality data, producing standard operating procedures, maintaining a safe and organized laboratory environment.
-Capable of responding to questions and concerns from production, research professionals, quality control, customers, and other internal and external parties regarding work product.
-Operates, cleans, and calibrates all laboratory equipment as required.
-May supervise or serve as a lead to lower-level technicians or support personnel.
-Interprets and applies department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations; ensures compliance with these areas.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

-Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in technical field such as Chemistry, Biology, Physics or equivalent area; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
-1-5 years of laboratory experience; preferably within the paint and/or coatings industry.
-Extensive experience in the paint and/or coatings industry may replace college degree requirement.
-Experience with analytical equipment; spectroscopy, thermal analysis, electrochemical analysis, and titration preferred more
