Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Lab Technician in Toledo, Ohio. This Technician will be joining a team of 7 and will be working from 11pm-7am (Wednesday thru Sunday). Their main responsibilities will include operating all laboratory equipment in accordance with assignments, completing report forms (such as analysis reports, calibration logs, and wastewater reports), and maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting analytical instrumentation. They will also handle any reagents and waste in accordance with lab hygiene program and work instructions and for performing and reporting calibrations of laboratory equipment as described in work instructions and documenting any equipment failures. They will be responsible for purchasing of reagents and hard goods that are used within the lab and maintain the inventory. They will be labeling, and storage of samples and sample retains including proper HMIS labeling following Hazard Communication program guidelines. At all times, they will perform assignments in conformance with quality and EHS system standards, complying with safe operating practices, lab safety rules, and plant safety rules.

- Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering (or a related field)

- Experience with AS400 or SAP

- OSHA certified
- Associates Degree in Chemical Engineering (or a related field)

- 2+ years of experience within a lab testing and working with chemicals

- Proficient in Microsoft Suite specifically Excel: ability to create reports and input data

- Understanding and knowledge of OSHA hazard communication and hazardous waste protocol

- Must be able to lift at least 20+ pounds
