Quality Assurance Technician

FULL-TIME

$16.80/hr

The Quality Assurance/Lab Technician is responsible to lead the efforts to achieve the highest quality possible for all products produced by Refresco. This technician will monitor the production process from beginning to end performing required tests and checks.

Specific accountabilities:
• Complying with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Working safely and comply with all safety rules.
• Keep production lines running by performing duties in a timely manner
• Minimize the creation of waste and rework.
• Responsible for QC tests of incoming raw materials, goods in progress, finished goods, and packaging, with appropriate reaction to any out-of-specification situations.
• Retrieval of samples, testing and analysis, and documentation of results.
• Responsible for line CIP, documentation, follow-up, and reporting.
• Coordinate efficient production line start-ups and change-overs of process equipment.
• Reviewing daily process and packaging records.
• Initiating corrective action for out-of-compliance situations, including QC holds and defective material reporting.
• Collecting all micro samples for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual samples for inside and outside lab testing.
• Completing sample analysis to ensure compliance to all Customer and Corporate testing requirements and product specifications.
• Ensuring all Safety Standards (Company or Regulatory) are met at all times
• Ensuring all quality attributes are met at all times.
• Cleaning and sanitation of production lines following the appropriate process as determined by flavor characteristics and the flush matrix.
• Follow the facility’s food safety and food quality programs to assure compliance and achieve desired results.
• Performing required laboratory tests by following procedures and accurately record test results.
• Ensuring that laboratory testing equipment is calibrated accurately.
• Communicate appropriate information to supervision and other employees.
• Coordinate flavor changeovers with production personnel to minimize downtime.
• Maintaining all laboratory instrumentation in proper working condition.
• Performing special projects as needed.
• Programming Video Jet Coder with appropriate code.
• Keep the work area clean.

Schedule

Shift start: 6:00AM
Shift length: 8.5 hours
3-4 days a week depending on rotation
