SUMMARY
As Quality Engineer for our Utilimaster division in Bristol, IN, you will be responsible for providing problem solving leadership to the organization, directing cross-functional teams for corrective action resolution, leading, and implementing continuous improvement activities, monitoring key measurement data for trend analysis and areas for improvement, and complying with established quality system registration requirements, procedures, and objectives

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete understanding of quality related documents - control plan, PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), flow chart, PPAP, 8D, etc.
- Create inspection and process control requirements and operator instructions
- Support corporate goals and deliverables
- Lead and assist Quality management with internal containment activities
- Lead problem solving activities for internal and external issues, implement countermeasures, and report in an appropriate format
- Analyze engineering and customer specifications and monitor operational processes to develop quality control methods, practices, and process documents
- Resolve daily issues related to quality assurance activities
- Lead team meetings and present technical information to internal and external customers for defect reduction activities
- Implement customer product quality and system requirements
- Ensure both customer and internal requirements are met
- Represent Quality in the Product Launch team
- Responsible for monthly Key Performance Indicator tracking and reporting
- Perform associate training, as needed
- Develop and maintain professional, collaborative, and productive working relationships with all levels of the organization
- Support special projects, as needed
- Other tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate or Technical degree required (Bachelor's degree in Engineering field preferred)
- American Society for Quality CQE certificate preferred
- Minimum of two years' experience in quality systems, specifically in the ISO9001 standard
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and the relationship to quality improvement
- Project management experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Project
- Working knowledge of data collection and data analysis
- Clear understanding of quality system tools and standards
- Strong and consistent attention to detail
- Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task
- Team oriented
- Versatile, flexible, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
- Advanced computer skills are required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Sound judgment with the ability to make timely decisions
- Able to:
- Learn, understand, and apply new technologies
- Manage multiple priorities and projects and meet deadlines
- Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Strong:
