Job Description

This full time, permanent hands on Quality Manufacturing Process Improvement Engineer opportunity is in a innovative, creative engineering department that is continually coming up with new recreational products and parts. The recreational products the company manufactures enhances fun time around the world including for those with disabilities. All design and manufacturing is done onsite. The company has tripled in size in the last 20 years. There is a lot going on at the company and every department is busy. Inventor and AutoCAD are utilized in the engineering department.

The successful candidate's duties and responsibilities will encompass:

  • Participating in the continuous manufacturing process improvement activities
  • Developing continuous quality process improvement goals
  • Examining and investigating manufacturing quality metrics
  • Administering manufacturing continuous process improvement activities
  • Investigating root causes
  • Examining historical data
  • Participating in the process of corrective actions
  • Enhancing manufacturing quality
  • Performing part inspections
  • Identifying areas for improvement
  • Developing inspection, testing and evaluation of process, product and equipment reliability
  • Inspecting returned items
  • Participating in the development of new products
  • Maintaining the ISO registrations
  • Participating in the calibration system equipment
  • Interacting with suppliers
  • Acting as lead quality auditor
  • Scheduling quality audits

Candidates must have have a background consisting of:

  • A degree
  • Four or more years of quality process improvement experience
  • A knowledge of OSHA requirements
  • One or more years of quality tools experience
  • One or more years of ISO 14001 experience
  • One or more years of ISO 9001 experience
  • One or more years of experience reading engineering drawings
  • One or more years of Microsoft Office experience
  • A stable job history without repeated short-term jobs
  • Being a US citizen or green card holder
  • Having a residence within a 45 minute drive
