Kingston settlement dates back to the late 1700s where it’s said to have had the first public school in Pennsylvania. As Northeastern Pennsylvania’s only private psychiatric hospital, First Hospital provides inpatient psychiatric treatment for children, adolescents and adults, is accredited by The Joint Commission, and is recognized as a Top Performer, having core measures scores in the top 15 percent of accredited hospitals in the country. Our 149-bed facility provides an environment conducive to recovery and healing. We feature eight discrete units: a children’s program, two adolescent programs and five adult programs. A unique advantage to our children’s and adolescent programs is a fully licensed school.

Experience/ Requirements:

• 1+ yrs. nursing experience preferred; 1+ yrs. psychiatric experience preferred
• Current PA Practice Permit/ Practical Nurse license
• BLS and Safe Crisis Management certifications required, must be completed prior to end of orientation period
