Forest Manor is currently seeking Nursing Supervisors (full time, part time and per diem) for all shifts To provide direct nursing care to the residents and to supervise the day to day nursing activities performed by the nursing personnel in accordance with current State, Federal, and Local standards governing the facility and as may be directed by the Director of Nursing to ensure the highest level of quality care is maintained at all times.

Qualifications

·        Must be a Registered Nurse with license in good standing

·        Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

·        Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.

·        Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personne

·        Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, sales representative, home office and the general public

·        Previous experience in supervisory role in healthcare facility.

Essential Job Functions 

 ·        Oversees day to day functions of the licensed practical nurses and the nursing assistants.

 ·        Participate in developing, maintaining and periodically updating written policies, procedures, manuals, objectives and philosophies.

 ·        Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies etc…, as necessary.

 ·        Periodically meet assigned nursing staff in planning shifts, programs, and activities.

 ·        Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies

 ·        Admit, transfer, discharge residents as required.

 ·        Ensures that all nursing service personnel are giving proper resident care and performing their respective duties in accordance with written policies, procedures and manuals

 ·        Participate in maintaining nursing quality assurance program.

 ·        Make reports and recommendations to the Director of Nursing concerning the department.

 ·        On Call rotation as scheduled.
