What You Will Do:

Provide advanced life support for critically ill/injured patients at the scene and during transport as part of the air transport team.

• Respond to calls via flight, evaluate the scene of an accident and notify appropriate authorities/request additional assistance as required.
• Perform patient assessment and triage; provide advanced life support and/or emergency care as needed before and during transport.
• Contact receiving medical personnel, report observations and follow directives.
• Determine appropriate mode of transport and assist with locating and establishing a landing zone for the aircraft.

What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required
• One or more of the following:
  
  • Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 12Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Allowed in lieu of BLS Provider.
  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90days) of hire date or job transfer date. Allowed in lieu of Advanced Life Support.
  • Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Allowed in lieu of Pediatric Life Support.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Allowed in lieu of Neonatal Resuscitation.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
