Sapphire Nursing and Rehab at Goshen a premier  long term skilled nursing facility located in Orange County, New York is looking to hire experienced full-time RN Unit Managers. As an RN Unit Manager at our facility, you would be part of an outstanding professional team doing meaningful work to improve the quality of life, health, and comfort of our residents.

WE ARE PAYING A SIGNING BONUS OF $2,500.00 FOR THIS POSITION ( Paid in qtrly installments);

Unit Manager Responsibilities:

DUTIES:

·        Maintains nursing guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.

·        Completes Resident care requirements by scheduling and assigning nurses and staff

·        Establishes a compassionate environment by providing support to Residents and families.

·        Provides information to Residents and health care team.

·        Maintains safe and clean working environment.

·        Maintains Resident confidence by monitoring confidential information processing.

·        Maintains documentation of Resident care services.

·        Maintains nursing supplies inventory

·        Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams

·        Develops an individualized comprehensive care plan

·        Maintains timely documentation of patients

·        Maintains supervision of staff and facility

·        Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identities any issues that affect desired resident outcomes

·        Assess, review, and maintain that daily resident care needs are met, and appropriate resident care is given.

·        Address resident and staff concerns to promote quality care.

·        Supervise staff nurses and CNAs to ensure their completion and quality of duties.

·        Make rounds of resident rooms to observe and evaluate resident’s physical/emotional state.

·        Review order and care plans.

·        Provide direct nursing care as necessary.

·        Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Requirements

·        Valid, current RN license

·        Must be knowledgeable of nursing practices and procedures, and/or terminology, laws, regulations, and the guidelines that pertain to long-term care.

·        At least one-year experience in a supervisory capacity in a long-term care facility.

·        Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
