POSITION SUMMARY The Registered Nurse provides general nursing care to patients in hospital or similar healthcare facility by performing the following duties, in compliance with hospital standards of maintaining confidentiality, integrity, quality care and professionalism.# Registered nurses may have choice of department or specialty area.# Some areas RN#s can specialize include but are not limited to: Emergency; Intensive care; Operating room; Post surgery; Cardiovascular; Pediatrics; Geriatrics and Skilled. Continuing education and specialty certification are highly encouraged. Nursing staff are required to have ACLS, PALS and TNCC status within a designated time frame. The environment is supportive and fast paced.# # EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS o## Incumbent must be a graduate of school of nursing. o## Preferred: Bachelor#s Degree o## Current West Virginia license. o## Must possess BLS certification within probationary period. o## Must obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support, TNCC and Neonatal Resuscitation Program within a designated time frame #EXPERIENCE o## Effective interpersonal communication skills in order to effectively collaborate with physicians and ### instruct patients and their families.
