Job Description

Our client is seeking a compassionate and caring Registered Nurse to fill a 3-month assignment working with orthopedic diagnosis, including post-op care patients in Med Surg. This RN job will also provide care to patients with neurological diagnosis. May need to float to surgical care units/dept. Pay: $62 - $67 per hour based on experience, benefit level and traveler status. *

Responsibilities of the Med/Surg Nurse:
Uses professional nursing skills through assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and supervision of individual patient care for the adult patient ages 18-100+ according to departmental policies and procedures.
Accepts responsibility for collaboration of co-workers in the implementation of patient care.
Organizes and provides direct patient care incorporating clinical decision-making and prioritization of activities.
Education of the patient and family/significant other and other health care team members is provided by the Registered Nurse.

Requirements of the Registered Nurse:
Min of 2 years of Med Surg experience in acute care hospital setting in the last 3 years
5 years experience in general Med/Surg nursing, preferably experienced in orthopedic and neurology nursing - Preferred
EPIC Charting experienced preferred
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must have strong critical thinking and process management skills.
Wisconsin State registered nurse license required or compact
AHA BLS
