Overview: *All positions are located in Fresno/Clovis CA*

As a Nurse in our 2 West Observation unit, you will care for patients with conditions ranging from general medical surgical to cardiac monitored patients with different comorbidities and minor surgeries. Our 24 bed outpatient unit is located within the main hospital at Community Regional Medical Center, providing high quality care for patients who require active and focused management during an expected length of stay less than 24 hours.

Nurses in our unit are trained in Cardiac Dysrhythmia to care for cardiac monitored patients and are ACLS certified. We encourage our nurses to advance through our Career Ladder program, and our unit leadership is supportive in this goal, ensuring that your personal and professional development is a priority.

Our goal as a team is to create a comforting and pleasant environment, managing our patients' care according to diagnosis while using specific treatment plans. Other clinically appropriate services can include further diagnostics testing, ongoing short term treatment assessment and reassessment. You will be specifically trained in managing observation patients in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications: Experience and Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Graduate of approved nursing program
  • Consistent demonstration of Novice / Advance Beginner clinical nursing practice proficiency

Licensure, Registration, Certification:
  • Current California Registered Nurse License
  • Current BLS certification

Department specific qualifications:
  • Cardiac Dysrhythmia training must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer into job.
  • Current Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer into job.
