Job Description

We are looking for a reliable RN (Registered Nurse) Supervisor to care for residents in a professional and considerate manner at our skilled nursing facility (SNF). We offer nursing and rehabilitation. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. RN professionals must be first and foremost qualified and compassionate. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse basic care to those who need it while remaining patient and calm. It is a demanding job but also very rewarding. Generally, our nurses work 12 hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Make daily rounds to ensure compliance and that work assignments are followed
• Assist the DON in implementing and evaluating day to day functions of the nursing department
• Ensure that care plans are followed and updated
• Perform nursing assessments and implement care based on assessment
• Respond to emergencies during shift in a manner that promotes best practices
• Educate residents and families
• Facilitate completion of outstanding or follow up items
• Monitor and maintain the functioning of the halls, and audit medical records for compliance
• Facilitate resolution of issues and concerns related to resident care to include family concerns
• Perform employee evaluations and/or discipline

Skills

• Proven experience as RN or similar role
• Excellent nursing judgement
• Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team
• Familiarity with SNF safety, sanitation standards, and procedures
• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
• Excellent knowledge of medical and SNF terminology
• Good knowledge of MS Office (or similar technology) and data entry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and able to handle stress
• Successful completion of RN license program is a must!
