We are assisting our client to hire an RN working variable shifts in the Operating Room at a hospital in Wyoming, Michigan. The ideal nurse will be quick-thinking and have graduated from an accredited nursing program. We need someone with 2-5 years of experience. This is a direct hire job.

Salary

• $31 - $44 per hour based on experience

Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse

• Assess the patient's condition and physical, psychological, cognitive, social, rehabilitative, and discharge needs.
• Develop a plan of care using nursing diagnoses and setting patient outcome goals.
• Implement nursing plan of care and physician's orders.
• Establish priorities of patient care based on essential patient needs and available resources of time, personnel, equipment and supplies.
• Perform nursing procedures, assist physicians, and use equipment following established standards.
• Evaluate the patient s response to nursing interventions and physician ordered therapy / diagnostics. Update or modify plan of care to meet the current needs of the patient.
• Educate the patient and significant others based on the cognitive needs of each and defined by patient outcome goals.
• Document concise, accurate and timely information in the patient care record.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and respect for patient and significant others rights, including confidentiality.
• Follow established standards in provision for safety.

Requirements/Certifications

• Michigan Registered Professional Nurse licensure required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) provider required.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) provider preferred.
• Previous surgical experience of 2-5 years preferred.
