Summary:

Perform all aspects of Respiratory Therapy including but not limited to Ventilator Care, Blood Gas collecting and interpretation, perform Hand Held Neb, MDIs, CPT, PFTs, Holter Monitors, administer oxygen and other medical gases, participate in transports of all age group that require respiratory assistants. Perform any reasonable task that is asked by a supervisor and to perform within the limits of the department Scope of Service as prescribed by the Policies and Procedures. Participates in activities that help achieve departmental goals and the CHRISTUS mission. Participates in activities that help achieve departmental goals and the CHRISTUS mission. Participates in staffing adjustments and interdepartmental activities to assure adequate coverage and seamless care. Cleans and maintains equipment in good working order. Facilitates the organization’s implementation and maintenance of the privacy requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Requirements:

• 3-5 years in Critical Care environment preferred
• Current RRT Licensure from the NBRC and LRT Licensure from the LA board of Medical Examiners
• BLS required
• ACLS required
